Reviews 06: Gmarket Korea

OMG! MIA-ed for about half a year again! It's been a worst semester of uni life, it's upsetting. :(

Oh well anyway, my skin suffered a lot, and it was practically errr, 'rotting'? Haha! Did a lot of research on the net, tried on several counter brands (Estee Lauder, in particular) and found one that suited me best - Laneige (I have super dry skin). It's a Korean skincare-makeup brand that is very popular, with Song Hye Gyo as the ambassador.

I grabbed several samples for the White Plus Renew line, but did not decide to get them in SG counters, as that will amount to about S$300+. T___T

SO! Turning to GMarket Korea again, below are the items which I've gotten, and they amount to less than $200. :)

Just a small update on myself haha! I've been using all my korean brand cosmetics (generally gotten from GMarket Korea).

Again, it took about 1 week for all domestic shippings to be completed, and another 2-3 days till the arrival of the parcel at my doorstep.

So, as usual......

I won't be talking about what the others' bought, so what's left would be these...

1. Laneige Multiberry Peeling Gel (Retailing at $42, got it at around $30)

I've tried this item, and it really brightens up the overall complexion! Doesn't really remove blackheads and whiteheads though. It has a veryyyy strong berry yoghurt scent, and is very thick as well.

The seller shipped the item fast, and comes with bubble wrap too.

2. Laneige White Plus Renew Essence (Retailing at $88, got it at around $50)

Arghh, essences are usually the most expensive item along the product lines. Anyway, this is reallllly good, gives a very snowy-cool feeling, and prepares the skin for creams. This is from the same seller as the gel above.

3. Laneige Snow BB Cream in No. 2 Natural (Retailing at $49, got it at around $38)

Hmm, unfortunately the coverage's not up to my expectations. Don't expect it to cover up pores and acne scars. I usually mix it with a tinge of my Hera HD Foundation (check out Reviews 05), and it becomes perfect. It's moisturizing and gives a brightening effect as well.

4. Laneige Pore Cleansing Essence (Retaining at $40+, got it at around $38)

Hmm, pore tightening products usually don't show any effects till a later date, but this too, is not oily, and does not cause any irritation to skin. It doesn't clog pores as well, but regarding the effects, it's still too early to tell.

5. Laneige White Plus Renew Eye Mate (Retailing at $58, got it at around $40)

As with pore tightening products, eye products requires the use of a duration of at least 2 weeks to show the effects. This item is similar to Estee Lauder's Idealist Skintone Illuminator, just that it's meant for the eyes with SPF12, PA++. Overall, it has a brightening effect too.

6. Laneige White Plus Renew Night Cream (Retailing at $68, got it at around $40)

Lilin & co bought me the Day Cream of this line, as it's not available in Korea. :(

This is one of the best creams I've ever used, thick and creamy, but not oily, and my skin is great at absorbing it! Results show within a week of use. :) Must be used with essence.

So basically that is all for my Laneige haul from GMarket Korea! Very very satisfied with the delivery speed and parcel packing, as usual. Haha!

67: For the other very special, one and only her.

Big hammy had been with me for 2 years and 9 months, not a very long time, but not a very short time too.

All along, she has been very healthy, very fat, no health problems at all - a happy, healthy little baby girl.

But one has to grow old, the same goes to my precious girl. Unlike her sister, she led a far more happy life.

I neglected her when I had to take good care of Xiao Hammy. But when she left, I knew I had to repay what I owed Big hammy from then on. I devoted all my time and love to her, and I know she knows it too.

Slowly, she became very weak, fur dropping, weight dropping, her eyes became smaller, limbs became so much weaker.

Yesterday, I woke up countless times at night, to make sure she's upright and alive. Today, she's so weak she couldn't move much. I had a feeling something was wrong. I went out, for 4 hours as planned. Before I left, I prayed to heaven, please take good care of her for me, for half a day.

Heaven agreed, Big hammy's a good girl, she waited for me to come home. I knew I couldn't go for dance, else I would regret all my life, indeed.

When I ran home, I see her dull eyes, I hoped she could leave soon, just so that she wouldn't be painful. I rather I feel the pain than her. She was in her favourite house, waiting for me to come home. I used my finger to brush her body and pat her as she struggled a little, squealed twice as if she was saying goodbye, i love you. She left. 5 minutes were all it took.

Big hammy, my little girl, I know that you knew everything - what I felt towards you and what I hoped. You waited for me to come home, you struggled to stay alive just to let me see you one last time. You knew everything, and you were the greatest.

I will never ever forget you, just like how I love your sister, I love you so much too! Both of you brought so much happiness into my life, I hope I did so to you too. You are more than precious to me.

Go find your little sister and the goddess, live in a place full of cotton balls, without pain and run freely. I will never forget all that we shared, ever.

Sleep well little girl, you will, and always be part of me, just like your little sister.

虽然我所谓的“华年”也只不过是20年，但意义还是存在的。

《锦瑟》是当年我最害怕的古诗，但最后明白、了解后，深深喜欢上。

对我而言，它不在于爱情之题，而在于“思华年”之题。

这些年以来，我很努力。一年一年地过去，“当时”的喜悦却似“已惘然”。

回想那短短的两年里，那些回忆是犹如在日暖之时的”蓝田山“。

但如今我的努力与我所追随的方向犹如面对”沧海月明“之时的感慨。

我是否在盲目地追随着？

我又会不会迷失自己，在人生旅程中，随时”追忆”“此情”时，只能感慨“当时已惘然”？
